Quit planning fabric upgrades in the dark.

Leverage the power of machine learning and infrared thermal imaging to assess individual homes at scale, evaluate the in-use performance of each home, and pinpoint causes of energy underperformance so that every resident gets the support they need.

When crafting your retrofit strategy, you have no idea how your buildings are actually performing.

You’re relying on EPCs, so the information is stale and unreliable for evaluating actual in-use performance.

You’re using IoT sensors to detect underheated homes, but the data can’t explain why the homes are underheated or if it has anything to do with building performance at all.

You’re sampling buildings based on archetypes, but this “one-size-fits-all” approach is too simplistic to support the needs of a diverse building stock.

Maesin helps you quickly identify causes of energy underperformance in each home so that you can do impactful fabric upgrades.

Understand exactly where underperformance is coming from

Our infrared thermal surveys detect, diagnose and rate defects, enabling focused and actionable solutions for fabric improvements.

Quickly assess how your buildings are actually performing while people are living in them

It takes only a few moments to capture the data from outside the building, getting you rapid results with minimal disruption for residents.

Assess individual needs across a diverse and ageing stock

We use our groundbreaking thermography AI software to efficiently and accurately analyse the sensor measurements we collect on each home, enabling mass-customisation of home improvement plans so that every resident can enjoy a better quality of life.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can building occupants expect during surveys? Occupants will need to have their heating on for at least 24 hours before the start of the survey. No access into the property is required.

How does Maesin's technology work? Maesin's AI algorithms assess the temperature patterns on the building surface to detect defects which indicate poor thermal performance, draughts and damp risk. Our insights are accurate, actionable and appropriate, providing a clear evidence basis for energy upgrades.

How does Maesin ensure the validity and reliability of its building surveys? Maesin's surveys follow the principles of qualitative thermography described in ISO 6781-1:2023. Our surveyor partners are professionally certified thermographers. Imaging equipment is regularly calibrated and tested by an independent third-party organisation. We only use high-end infrared thermal cameras. This is reflected in the quality of the image scans, which enables the precision and accuracy of our assessments. We do not use handheld or mobile phone attachment-type cameras.
